Eduardo Nunez: I'll be '100 percent' ready for ALDS

In the midst of the clubhouse celebration following the Red Sox clinching the American League East, Eduardo Nunez stood somewhat to the side with a big grin on his face.

He hadn't been a part of the on-field action during the Red Sox' 6-3 win over the Astros, but was adamant that when the teams met again in Houston for the American League Division Series in Houston Thursday Nunez would be right in the middle things.

"One hundred percent," Nunez asked by WEEI.com if he would be ready for the playoffs.

Asked to elaborate, the infielder just smiled once again and repeated himself. "One hundred percent."

What Nunez won't be ready for is any more regular season games, having to use Sunday for tests on his injured knee instead of actually participating in the series finale against the Astros. He will be able to test his new cleats, which are designed to offer a bit more give when having to test the knee.
